Sources say no. Another Mermaid drawind done on Clibe for iPad. How fitting that All of these were drawn on the way to and from Hawaii while I was working on Disney’s Aulani. I couldn’t ask for a more interesting job doing what I love to do, draw, talk about design, play in the dirt and watch people enjoy their vacations. Being part of a families memories, even in a small way is pretty amazing.

First set of chubby mermaids were all drawn in Clibe for iPad. It’s a fun program with a lot limitations that will effect a drawing. For instance there are only about 10 colors, so you have to get creative as to what your skin tones and shadow values are going to be. The great part of the program is the neat line quality you can get. You get a nervous thick to thin line that pretty effectively mimics what it’s like to draw with a slightly dried out Sharpie. No joke, slightly dried out Sharpies are one of my favorite tools to draw with.
